The 80s gave us a wide variety of movies and movie legends.
Action movies and franchises became huge. We also saw a rise in science fiction and fantasy movies with the increasing skills in makeup and special effects.
There were also the classic coming-of-age and teen movies that define each decade for the youth. Comedy movies and comedy actors made a name for themselves with a bundle of box-office hits in that genre as well.
Many of the teen icons of the decade are still making hits today. While many others in this list were at the top of their acting career in the 1980s.
