From serial killers to dictators, history has had its fair share of people who do horrible things to others.
We view these people as monsters because of the horrible acts they are known for. Which makes it very hard to understand how they were not caught for so long or how they had families that loved them.
It’s unnerving to see them in photographs doing seemingly “normal” things after knowing the violent and awful things they have done. Trying to make sense of how they could act so normal around friends and family, all the while hiding or suppressing their awful sides.
Let’s take a look at some family photographs and other candid pictures of some of the worst and most violent people in history.
